How to get to the check-in
At the München Ost terminal in Munich, you can drive right up to the check-in point. Please have your travel documents ready, cf. information on previous page (“Overview”).
Where do I park my vehicle prior to loading?
A check-in employee will be there to meet you and show you where to wait in the queuing lane at the terminal. The individual destinations are signposted in the parking area. You can leave your vehicle until loading begins, but please make sure you are back at your vehicle by the loading time given.
If you arrive before the check-in opens, you can park your vehicle in the queuing lane which is signposted for your destination. There is a lounge available at both loading ramps.
How can I spend the time between loading and departure?
You can either spend the time in the lounge at the terminal or on the platform. Sanitary facilities are available in the terminal building at loading ramp 1. There is a wide range of catering outlets and attractive shops in and around the station.
You can reach Munich city centre conveniently by rapid transit (“S-Bahn”) in just 10 minutes. These trains depart from platforms 1 to 3 every three to five minutes.
Information about the loading process
Please read the information about vehicle loading on the “Overview” page.
Where can anyone travelling with me go?When and where can we board the train?
The other passengers in your vehicle can wait in the lounge or on the platform. Boarding is from platform 11, 12, 13 or 14, as stated on the departure board. There is a coach position indicator on each platform. Near the lounge for loading ramp 1, there is a pedestrian subway leading to the individual platforms. Passengers can reach the subway to the platforms from loading ramp 2 by crossing the car park to loading ramp 1.
Passengers of impaired mobility are recommended to avail themselves of the mobility service, which can be ordered when reserving your DB Autozug trip. All the same, if you haven’t ordered the mobility service please do not hesitate to ask terminal staff for help at the earliest possible opportunity. The subway can be reached by lift from the terminal side, though this facility does not extend as far as the platforms. “Meet and assist” provision needs to be organised for passengers with a physical handicap if the Mobility Service Centre has yet to do this for you. Should you be reliant upon a wheelchair, please order one in advance from the Mobility Service Centre.
