How to get to the check-in

Please drive into the designated stabling area and park there. At Lörrach, a member of staff will come straight to your vehicle for check-in purposes. Please have your travel documents ready, cf. information on previous page (“Overview”).

Where do I park my vehicle prior to loading?

Please remain with your vehicle in the queuing lane until loading commences. DB Autozug operatives assign motorcyclists a separate parking area.

Please stay within the terminal until loading begins, which will be announced by the loading foreman over the tannoy system.

Where can I/we spend the time between loading and departure?

You may spend the intervening period in the waiting room or on the platform. There is a restaurant at the terminal. The centre of Lörrach is about 440 yards away and boasts numerous shopping facilities.

If you arrive at the terminal around lunchtime, you can park your vehicle in the queuing lane signposted for your destination. There is sufficient parking available. Provided you still have enough time, we recommend a visit to Basel. You can reach Basel from Lörrach by rapid transit (“S-Bahn”) in just 8 minutes. The trains leave every half hour. Lörrach railway station is about 500 metres away from the terminal.

Where can anyone travelling with me go?

Your passengers may retire to the waiting room or board the train, which is already at the platform during the loading period in Lörrach.

When and where can I/we board the train?

The train’s departure platform is right next to the queuing lane. Customers can enter their cabins as soon as loading commences.

Note for customers of impaired mobility: the route to the train is barrier-free. Lifting facilities are in place for wheelchair users. Please approach the terminal staff.
