Support for DB Autozug customers at the terminal in Vienna is provided by ÖBB, our partner company. ÖBB also has sole responsibility for pricing and for execution of the journey.
Arrival & check-in
Passengers travelling to Berlin, Düsseldorf or Hamburg should proceed to loading area 1 (platforms 9 and 10). The approach road is located between Felberstraße and the multi-storey car park “P&R Wien West”. Please follow the signs. The queuing lane for loading area 1 is beside the taxi rank between the car park and the station building.
On your way to the loading area, you will pass the check-in attendant who will inspect your ticket in the queuing lane during the loading times stated on your ticket. Because of the additional lashing required to secure their vehicles, motorcyclists are requested to arrive at the check-in desk in good time before departure. Please have both tickets at the ready to enable fast procedures at the check-in desk. If you have an online ticket, please sign the copy which is to be left with the check-in attendant. Passengers are obliged to notify the loading crew immediately of any change in the booking data.
Vehicle loading
At the loading platform, our loading inspector will check your vehicle for any previous damage and then show you where to park your vehicle. The instructions of the loading crew must be obeyed at all times during the loading process. Both loading decks of the vehicle carrier are loaded simultaneously; motorbikes and vehicles up to a height of 1.58 m are carried on the lower deck. Higher vehicles are loaded onto the upper deck in the order prescribed by the loading crew. Please do not forget to secure your vehicle for the journey: put it into first gear, apply the hand brake (or parking position (P) for automatic vehicles), switch off any alarm systems, retract or remove the aerial, close all windows, lock your car etc. Any roof luggage (jet bags) must be additionally secured with straps. Motorbikes will be securely lashed to the vehicle carrier with special straps by our loading team.
In the interests of your own safety, only the driver is permitted to remain in the vehicle during the loading process.
Pre-departure
As a general rule, the passenger coaches are available for boarding at the same platform when vehicle loading begins. During the loading process, passengers other than the driver can either go straight to their reserved seats in the passenger coach or spend the time until departure at the ÖBB Lounge in the passenger building, where there are also diverse shopping amenities.
