From a total of seven DB Autozug terminals in Germany, there are now more departures available on more days in the new timetable. The number of Friday departures, which are extremely popular, have been significantly increased. The catalogue is valid for departures from 15 April to 31 October 2012.

Higher frequencies to Southern Europe

Keep moving instead of standing in a traffic jam: everyone can benefit from the new summer timetable and enjoy the summer holidays and stress-free travel. At the Düsseldorf DB Autozug terminal, the number of trains has been doubled to Alessandria in the Piedmont region of Italy, for example, and to Narbonne in the South of France, which is just a stone’s throw away from the delightful Mediterranean resorts of the Costa Brava or the Côte d’Azur. Trains to these destinations also depart from Hamburg and Neu-Isenburg three times a week. At the Hildesheim terminal, on the other hand, the cities of Trieste and Verona in Northern Italy have been included in the programme for the first time, with trains now departing from Berlin as of April 2012 twice as frequently as before. Travellers can also travel for the first time from the German capital to Alessandria.     

Friday departures are particularly popular for holiday-makers who have booked into a holiday apartment or holiday home, since guests generally check in and out on Saturdays. The number of Friday departures has therefore been increased to 14 in total. Even so, you should reserve your journey for summer 2012 with DB Autozug now, particularly if you intend to travel during the peak season.
