Families and groups of up to 5 persons have plenty of space in the couchette cabin they book for themselves.

Booking four or more “full fare payers” into a cabin is cheaper than booking individually. And as well as making a financial saving, they also have the cabin to themselves.

Children under the age of six accompanied by a fare-paying adult travel free of charge on DB Autozug trains as long as they do not require accommodation of their own. A maximum of one adult and one child under the age of six may occupy a couchette.

Half fare is charged for children aged six to fourteen or children under the age of six requiring their own seat or couchette in the context of single bookings.

Sleeper cars

Up to 3 persons can travel together in a sleeper cabin. Should you need a bit more space, simply book 2 neighbouring cabins, which can be transformed into a single spacious suite. Please call the DB Autozug service line to book intercommunicating cabins.

Online booking is not, however, possible for adjoining couchette or sleeper cabins if these are not interconnected by means of an internal door.

Fares

When making online bookings, the total price inclusive of the charge for carriage of vehicles is automatically displayed.

No more than 2 motor cars or 6 motorcycles and 6 persons may be booked online. Should you wish to book a larger number of vehicles or persons, please call the DB Autozug service line.

When booking 2 or more cabins, simply add together the prices for the individual cabins given in the catalogue. The total cost of travel is displayed in online transactions.
