Vehicle information for DB AutoZug trips within Germany
The max. height for vehicles including roof attachments is 2.05 metres given a max. roof width of 1.35 m. Vehicles with a roof width of over 1.35 m and up to 1.55 m (e.g. SUVs, vans) must not be more than 1.96 m high.

Firmly lashed-down luggage may be left in, on, against or next to vehicles during carriage at the driver’s own risk and liability (cf. “Accompanying luggage”).
Firmly mounted and well secured closed roof boxes, bicycle racks and ski racks (except magnetic ski racks) can be carried on all DB Autozug routes inside Germany.
