About 100 rail lines throughout Germany as well as France, Italy and Austria are in use and available. Incidentally, the longest single route is the 1,570 kilometres from Hamburg to Narbonne, an ideal spring-board for Spanish holiday makers. As well as motor-cyclists it is families and senior citizens, who want to avoid the stress and traffic-jams, save on fuel and toll costs, whilst increasing the number of their holidaying days.
