Has your travel plan changed due to a change of vehicle or the number of passengers? Read on for information you may need concerning any amendments you wish to make to your original booking submission.

The day of travel on your journey or its itinerary can be rebooked. This is permitted only once and should be completed prior to your departure, giving seven days notice. The amended journey day of departure may not be more than four weeks earlier or later than the originally booked day of travel.

Rebookings are subject to a €15.00 service charge per journey.

Please note that tickets purchased at "Last Minute“, "Autozug-Special" prices, or other special offers, cannot be exchanged or cancelled. No refunds are permitted on these bookings.

Other events such as failure to embark, or declining to journey, are deemed forms of cancellation (see notes under “Cancellation”).

Rebookings are carried out as follows

If ordering your tickets online, you can rebook your day of travel, itinerary and/or comfort class yourself at “My DB Autozug”. The access data you need is included in the email response you receive when you initially book your journey.

If you bought your tickets through a travel agent, at a railway station or by calling the DB Autozug service line, please contact the appropriate point of sale should you need to amend the detail. Only the issuing entity has access to your booking data.

Amendments to data - on account of e.g. change of vehicle

You must contact DB Autozug if you want to change the number of people travelling or if you want to change the type of accompanying vehicle. Please call the DB Autozug service line for assistance and for confirmation that your new booking requirements can be met.

You must notify the point of ticket sale agency not later than two days before the start of your journey if you need to change the dimensions of the vehicle that you have booked (e.g. because you intend to travel with a different vehicle). In the case of an online booking, please contact the DB Autozug service line. An alternative parking position will be arranged and reserved for you for the new vehicle, as long as such a space is still available.

Please note that the parking positions on the carrier are of different sizes to fit different vehicle sizes. So, it is not possible to guarantee that a space will always be available for the vehicle change that you want to make.
