The online booking system guides you effortlessly, speedily and securely to your online ticket. You receive your ticket by e-mail. Print out the attached PDF file and take it with you on your trip.

A maximum of 2 cars or 6 motorcycles with up to 6 persons can be booked online. If you wish to book a larger number of vehicles or persons, please call the DB Autozug service line number (cf. Contact Details on right).

You can book outward and inward trips separately, giving you the flexibility to come back a different way if you like.

Payment and concessions

Tickets can be paid for by credit card (Mastercard and Visacard) and by direct debit.

If you wish to pay by direct debit, your credit status will be checked online. Please note the following points:

• The passenger must be the accountholder
• The address you enter is the German address at which the passenger is registered
• Check that you have stated the correct date of birth.

The full fare will immediately be deducted from your bank account or charged to your credit card.

The fare for online bookings is 2,50 Euro cheaper than the catalogue price. This is not the case, however, for fare offers such as LastMinute, “Saturday Specials", Autozug-Special or other cut-price schemes. No other special allowances such as accompanying passenger fares can be granted.

How to straightforwardly calculate the correct cost

During booking the exact fare for the trip you are planning is clearly displayed. It covers the charge for the vehicles cited and for all persons travelling. Groups of 4 persons upwards benefit from bargain compartment rates when booking whole compartments on seated carriages and couchette cars.

There are three categories of fare, yellow, green and blue. Blue is for the busiest periods; yellow is for bargain prices at low-season periods. Where the outward and inwards legs of a journey have differing fare categories, the applicable price per leg is charged.

Best to reserve early

At peak travel periods in particular, passenger accommodation is soon snapped up. It’s advisable, therefore, to reserve yours as soon as you know when you are travelling.
