Should you be unable to take up a DB Autozug trip you have booked, you will find important information on how to proceed here.

Cancellations are subject to a charge as detailed below:

Time of the cancellation

30 days or more prior to the trip originally planned

10% of original fare

29-15 days beforehand

25%

14-7 days beforehand

40%

6-4 days beforehand *

50% *

* Online tickets cannot be cancelled within 3 days of a trip commencing. Tickets have no refund value from this point.

The level of the cancellation charge is determined by the date on which notice of cancellation is received.

Where two or more trips are involved (e.g. outward and inward legs), the day on which the trip is booked to commence shall be used when determining the time limit.

Please note that tickets purchased as a “Saturday Special“, "Last Minute“, "Autozug-Special" fare or other special offers cannot be exchanged or cancelled. No refunds are available for these tickets.

Cancellations are made as follows

You can cancel online bookings yourself at "My DB Autozug". The access data are included in the e-mail you receive with your booking.

If you bought your tickets at a travel agent’s, railway station or by calling the DB Autozug service line, please contact the applicable point of sale. Only the issuing entity has access to your booking data and can cancel the trip.
